"The Berry Man" comes to town!

Be among the first to experience an innovative initiative at the Bass & Flinders Centre THIS SATURDAY 30th August. The Tasmanian Theatre Company Inc. is trialling an idea to make theatre more accessible and affordable to regional centres. "The Berry Man" will be live-streamed to a few regional centres.

"The Berry Man"by Patricia Cornelius

Set on an unproductive farm, The Berry Man is a grounded and raw story of unrealised potential and the triumph of spirit.  It's about growing things; potatoes, berries, babies.  It's about growing up - gathering all the elements of the past and letting them go, like scattering seed.  It's about talk of the past and whether silence is sometimes a better way.

Eric wants to be a farmer.  Marjorie wants to be a mother.  Fate and a stubborn refusal to help each appear to condemn them to never achieving their dreams.

Doors open at 7.00pm with drinks available for purchase.  Seating will be at 8pm for Live streaming starting at 8.15pm.

A collaboration between Lighthouse Regional Arts and the Bass & Flinders Centre, supported by Tas Regional Arts and George Town Council.  Another event on the "Arts on Track" circuit throughout NE Tasmania.
