Wow. I’ve built the tunnel. I don’t remember how I did it. I have a vague memory of digging but I definitely don’t have any vivid memories doing any actual building. I feel like I blinked and it was all complete. Works for me… I couldn’t be bothered building it anyway, it was just a means to an end. I’m running through the tunnel now, faster than I’ve ever run before. I didn’t think it was even possible for me to run this fast. It’s like a dream.
Oh, I momentarily forgot why I was running. I’m running to the hardware shop close to Cheltenham to escape my boss because I was drowsy at work. I built the tunnel so that I could hide during my get away. I’m very stealth. The boss actually lost my trail a few hours back, or maybe a few minutes, I’m not sure. Time seems to be moving differently during my escape. I guess fear makes things feel strange sometimes. I’m no expert.
I’ve reached the end of the tunnel. This will either be my moment of triumph or the moment that I realise I’ve made a grave mistake. Here goes… triumph! I opened the door to the hardware store and my boss is nowhere to be seen. I’ve outsmarted him. Now I just need to go and hide by the electrical supplies in Cheltenham’s hardware store and I’ll be safe forever. It’s just around the corner.
Oh my god. NO! My boss is hiding in the electrical supplies. He knew where I’d be. He’s running towards me. Ahhhhh.
My body jolted and shocked me out of sleep. I didn’t realise that I was dreaming. I’m still sitting at my work desk, the very same desk that I thought my boss was chasing me over. I check the time and it’s only been half an hour since I last remember checking. Did I really just dream all that? Maybe I need to go home.
